Activity: Use playdough or large paper. "Let's build/trace our 'A'!" Guide them: Line down, line down, little line across (for big A). Then, "Find the 'A'!" Show various letter cards (not just A) and have them shout "A!" when they see it.
5. Review & Take-Home (6 mins)
Activity: Quick recap: "What sound does 'A' make? /a/!" Hand out paper with 'A', apple, ant, alligator. "Color your 'A' things to take home!" (Keep it quick, just a few colors). Sing the "A" song one last time.
